"Illuminating Pompeii", the event developed by the City Council,streets and squares of Pompeii

Thursday, December 8th, at 17:30 in Piazza Bartolo Claudio D'Alessio will be the Mayor to "turn on" the artificial sky. On this occasion all the city lights will be switched off and gradually,
one at a time, all decorative lights will be lit, creating a real spectacle.
The work of the artist Ugo Nespolo, star of the Italian Pop Art from the '60s to today,
composed of a multitude of subjects different from each other, is a festival of lights and colors from the title
"The things of the world." The scene wants to embrace the immense variety of things every day that often go unnoticed
but come to life with light and importance are represented as numbers, letters, flowers, houses and buildings, toys, masks and
plenty of other subjects, in a large colorful bazaars that fascinates and intrigues the passer. New to the news:
This year will also be lit to the suburbs. Bright decorations overlooking the roofs of the suburbs from north to south.
Another noteworthy event is that for the first time individuals have funded some Christmas lighting.
